Tableau Reader training session, Wednesday 16 May
Tuesday, 08 May 2018
The Planning and Strategy Office (PSO) will be hosting a training session on using Tableau Reader on Wednesday 16 May. The session is open to all staff who use (or are likely to use) Tableau Reader software for reporting and data analysis.
Many of the analytical reports PSO produce make use of Tableau Reader, which you may have come across on the PSO website. However, you may be unclear on how to use it and would benefit from the following (all of which are provided in the training session):
- Tour of key data available through the PSO website
- Tips for using Tableau Reader
- Opportunities to explore specific dashboards
- Hands-on support from PSO staff
The session will be held in MET GL68PC, 12.00-1.30pm and places can be booked via Employee Self Service.
The dashboards available through the PSO website are extremely useful for members of staff compiling data-driven reports. Key areas include:
- University planning processes (Research, SPS & SPELT)
- Equality & Diversity (including Athena Swan submissions)
- Historical student numbers and admissions data
- Key Performance indicators (KPIs)
- Benchmarking data for student surveys and league tables
