Staff Forum seeks ideas on improving staff welfare
Friday, 27 April 2018
Dear Colleagues
The Staff Forum has been granted funding, to seek and implement ideas from all colleagues, to improve staff welfare across the University. We are pleased to have the opportunity to coordinate the process for collecting ideas, which will be supported by funding of up to £15,000 for successful projects.
Examples of staff welfare projects include: staff training and development events; enhancements of shared staff rooms or facilities; enhancements to communal spaces; ‘green’ or sustainable initiatives or innovations that reduce workload through efficiencies or generate other savings.
We encourage everyone to consider ideas, old or new, that will benefit colleagues and improve staff welfare. This is your chance to make a difference to our thriving University community.
The closing date for applications is 18 May 2018 and there are eligibility criteria which must be met. We have created a simple, 3 step guide for sending through your ideas; it can be viewed by following this link. You can also view the 3 step guide on the Staff Forum website, which also lists all of the Staff Forum representatives who can support or signpost you to further advice.
Please submit your idea, to make a difference!
Final decisions regarding the use of the funding will be taken by the University Executive Board in late May or early June 2018.
