Friday 7 September, 10:00-16:00, Edith Morley, Whiteknights Campus.
Registration must be completed online by Friday 24 August.
About the conference
The importance of diversity and inclusion is widely recognised in the higher education sector. The University has partnered with Study Higher to present a free one-day conference bringing together colleagues from across the University and experts in the field of widening participation.
The conference will showcase University of Reading outreach and student success projects. We will also be joined by speakers from other universities (Oxford University, Oxford Brookes University and Bucks New University), who will discuss ongoing initiatives and challenges of raising student aspiration and attainment, before and during university education.
It will feature two keynotes from high profile speakers:
- Chris Millward (Director of Fair Access and Participation, Office for Students) will outline the goals and aspirations for widening participation from the perspectives of the OfS.
- The Brilliant Club will outline their work with universities and schools to raise student attainment.
Refreshments and lunch will be provided. Spaces are limited, so be sure to book early.
If you have any queries, please contact Venue Reading (extension 5657) or the conference organiser, Billy Wong (extension 2655).
