Update on Staff Welfare project ideas
Tuesday, 29 May 2018
The Staff Forum is hugely grateful to colleagues who recently submitted over 50 ideas for improving staff welfare.
The ideas have now been discussed and reviewed in consultation with University partners from Human Resources and Estates & Facilities. Recommendations for funding will shortly be presented to the University Executive Board.
Themes include additional outdoor facilities to enjoy and relax on campus grounds across the University, and more opportunities to meet with colleagues from other schools and functions.
While it may not be possible for every idea to receive funding, from early discussions it is apparent some could be taken forward in other ways while retaining the intent of the proposal.
The Staff Forum is committed to listening and advancing the views or ideas we receive. Following the funding decisions in June 2018, colleagues who submitted an idea will be contacted.
The process used to gather and recommend ideas will be published on the Staff Forum website. We will also share the full, anonymised, list of ideas submitted in the coming weeks.
Your ideas are valuable and we are eager to see them implemented, making a difference to staff welfare. If you have any questions, please e-mail us or speak with an Employee Representative.
