Celebration of TAEDS, Saturday 23 June
Wednesday, 13 June 2018
On Saturday 23 June, BA Theatre Arts, Education & Deaf Studies (TAEDS) for deaf-hearing integrated students will complete its 32-year history with a special swansong and celebration of its unique achievements.
Please come and join us as we celebrate the programme's accomplishments and legacy.
This celebration begins at 12:30 in the Mingella Studio, Whiteknights Campus, and will include the world premiere of Moonbird, an adaptation of the children's story by Joyce Dunbar. Moonbird will be performed by Handprint Theatre Company, a deaf-hearing integrated company formed by TAEDS alumni.
In addition to the premier of Moonbird, the event will also include performances by graduating deaf students from the Royal Conservatoire, Glasgow.
After the performances, speeches will be delivered by past and current staff and students, including remarks from Vice-Chancellor, Sir David Bell.
