PDR Overview for Reviewers training available
Thursday, 28 June 2018
For colleagues all across the University, an annual Performance and Development Review (PDR) forms an integral part of our professional development.
PDRs are usually conducted by line managers or reviewers – as well as carrying out the PDR itself, reviewers/managers play a vital role in encouraging colleagues to explore their potential, and to engage with their work and surroundings.
To help reviewers through the process, the e-learning module PDR Overview for Reviewers has been created to support those conducting PDRs. This helpful online module outlines the University’s process for PDRs, and provides information on how best to prepare for each review, guidance on providing constructive feedback, and setting objectives for the year ahead.
The short online course has been designed to help prepare reviewers of both academic and professional roles. So whichever part of the University you are in, the course will provide helpful advice on getting the most out of each PDR, and is available to access at any point you may require. The training is highly recommended to those responsible for hosting PDRs.
The course can be accessed through our online e-learning portal. If you have any questions, please speak to a member of our People Development team.
