Redlands Road and London Road junction closure, 2 August

Due to an upcoming programme of resurfacing works, a road closure will be in place between Redlands Road and the London Road junction from Thursday 2 August for two days. 

The closure will run from house no. 24, Redlands Road through to the London Road junction, 09:30-15:30. A diverted route will be signposted during the closure. We anticipate that the works may affect travel to and from our Whiteknights and London Road campuses, so please adjust your journeys as necessary while the closure is in effect.

The works are being carried out by FM Conway Ltd on behalf of Reading Borough Council – should you have any enquiries while the works are taking place, please contact 01732 600 700.  

Queen’s Drive works

Maintenance work along Queen’s Drive may also continue to affect campus travel during this time. Work along Queen’s Drive will move into its second phase from Thursday 2 August, which will introduce changes to travel routes and the area of work. Full details are available in our original announcement and update on routes into Whiteknights campus – we will be publishing a further update on the latest phase of works before Thursday 2 August, so please keep checking the staff portal for updates.
