Join us in support of Reading Pride 2018
Monday, 06 August 2018
As a university, we are proud to support our LGBT students, staff and members of the local community.
On 1 September 2018 we'll be taking part in Reading Pride, along with Reading University Students’ Union (RUSU). We would love to be joined by as many staff and students as possible, so please come along!
Festivities kick off with the Pride Parade, starting at 11:15. The parade will travel through Reading town centre before arriving at Kings Meadow for the Reading Pride Festival, featuring stalls, food, music and entertainment.
We’ll be holding a stall at the Festival from 12:00 until 18.30, which will showcase the support networks we offer for our LGBT community as well as our historical LGBT connections. There’ll be free giveaways too!
We are also seeking volunteers to help at the stall on the day – if you are interested in joining us, please register your interest by emailing Ann Morgan or Allan Laville.
Now in its fifteenth year, Reading Pride is set to be a fun and entertaining day for all. Full details are available at the Reading Pride website. You can also read about our involvement in last year’s festival in our University at Pride 2017 story (including one fabulous four-legged mascot!).
We look forward to seeing you there!
