Tuesday, 14 August 2018

EMA conference, September 2018

On 4 September 2018, the EMA Programme will be hosting a one-day national conference exploring electronic management of assessment across the UK higher education sector.

This event will bring together speakers from five UK institutions to support the dissemination of knowledge and the sharing of good practice surrounding EMA defined broadly to include all aspects of technology enhanced assessment. We will explore the challenges and opportunities around the introduction of EMA, including:

  • change design;
  • effect on policy and process;
  • the optimal use of existing technology;
  • evidenced impact on the staff and student experience.

The event includes presentations focused on both online term time assessment and (although not within the scope of Reading’s own EMA Programme) digital exams. The conference is being run in association with the new Advance HE Interdisciplinary Network for Research-Informed Assessment Practices

How to book

The conference will take place in the Meadow Suite, Park House (Whiteknights campus), 10:30-15:45. It is free to attend.

University of Reading colleagues can book a place via the Employee Self Service portal.

We welcome guests external to the University too – anyone external to the University can register by emailing ema@reading.ac.uk.

More information, including presenter biographies and abstracts, are available on the EMA Programme site.
