New staff learning system to launch in 2019
Monday, 17 December 2018

We are delighted to announce that Comenius Learning has been appointed to implement the new Learning Management System (LMS) for staff working at the University. The decision follows a competitive procurement process.
Comenius Learning has successfully deployed the same LMS at a number of higher education institutions around the world.
Implementation of the system will start in the new year and we expect the platform to be available from early summer 2019.
The new learning management system represents a significant investment in how colleagues at the University can access and take up learning and development. It is a continuation of work which began in the summer of 2017.
The project is a significant part of the current People Plan programme which was informed by the 2017 Staff Survey. This system will enable all staff learning and development opportunities (including e-learning) to be more easily accessed from one central point.
The system will also enable the University to deliver a modern approach to learning, including the use of social learning and building online communities of practice.
Key stakeholders representing the various training providers and user groups have been engaged, but we are still keen for volunteers for testing. Please contact Tom Harlos if you’d like to get involved.
